Removing posts from consumer complaint sites

PissedConsumer, ComplaintsBoard, and similar sites rank well and rarely delete anything. In the US, sites that host other people’s posts are largely shielded from liability, so removal is the exception and suppression is usually the realistic plan.

We will tell you honestly whether there is a real basis for removal before you pay for anything.

Prefer to try it yourself first? Read our step-by-step guide

What consumer complaint sites will and will not remove

Being specific about this is how you avoid paying for an outcome nobody can deliver.

Genuine grounds
  • Posts a court has found defamatory, where the site honors the order
  • Posts that breach the site’s own terms
  • Copyright-infringing use of your material
  • Posts exposing private information
Not removable
  • Complaints simply because they are negative
  • Removal by paying the site, which we will not do and do not recommend
  • Content that is accurate or opinion

Be cautious of any service that promises to delete these posts quickly. The reliable route is a court order where one is justified, or pushing the page down in search.

How we handle it

01

Assess the grounds

We establish whether the content actually breaches the site’s own policy or the law, and tell you plainly if it does not.

02

Document and submit

We build the evidence file that gives a report the best chance of succeeding rather than being auto-declined, and escalate where a first response is wrong.

03

Suppress in parallel

Whatever the outcome, we work on what people find first, so you are not dependent on a removal decision you do not control.

What it costs

How removal pricing works
$0upfront, and nothing at all unless it comes down

You are billed only after a removal succeeds. If we cannot remove it, you do not pay, and if the exact same review is ever reinstated, we go after it again at no extra charge. That is how we have priced this work since 2018, and it is why we tell you upfront when something is not removable.

What goes into your quote

  • Which platform hosts it, and how its process works
  • Whether there is a clear policy breach or a legal route
  • How many items are involved
  • How well documented the case already is
  • Whether the content has been syndicated elsewhere
  • How urgent it is

Suppression and ongoing monitoring are scoped separately, because that is continuing work rather than a single outcome.

Common questions

Can you guarantee removal from consumer complaint sites?

No, and neither can anyone else. Platforms make the final decision. What we can do is establish whether there is a genuine basis, document it properly so it is not auto-declined, and pursue it through the right channel. Where there is no basis, we will tell you and focus on suppression instead.

How long does it take?

Typically days to several weeks per item, depending on the platform and how busy their review queue is. We report on every submission, including the ones that fail.

What if the content stays up?

You do not pay for a removal that does not happen. Removals are charged on success. Where content cannot come down we outrank it instead, and that suppression work is scoped and priced separately so you always know which you are buying.
